Consumer Law
Our firm is dedicated to protecting consumer rights and advising businesses on fair trade practices under Pakistan’s consumer protection framework. Over the past few decades, consumer protection laws have expanded across all provinces, from the Islamabad Consumer Protection Act 1995 to Punjab’s Consumer Protection Act 2005 and Sindh’s Consumer Protection Bill 2015, and our team stays fully abreast of these developments. We represent clients before the Consumer Courts established in Pakistan’s districts. For individual consumers, we pursue remedies against manufacturers, retailers, or service providers for defective products, false advertising, substandard services, or unfair contractual terms. Our lawyers work to obtain replacements, refunds, compensation for damages, and other relief provided by law to make our clients whole. We ensure that cases are presented with clear evidence and under the correct provisions so that consumer courts can grant effective relief. On the other side, we also counsel businesses on compliance with consumer laws, helping them draft warranty terms, return/refund policies, and advertising content that adhere to legal standards and reduce liability. If a consumer complaint arises, we assist companies in responding through the proper legal channels and defending against unfounded or exaggerated claims. Our approach is often to seek amicable resolution, such as mediation between the consumer and the business, to preserve goodwill. However, when litigation is necessary, we are vigorous advocates in court. By combining a detailed understanding of statutes and a practical grasp of marketplace issues, we navigate the consumer protection system to safeguard our clients’ rights and reputations.
